lights blurr slowly focusing into reality
conscious rushes up from darkness
reality glinting mischevislouly
just beyond realm of comprehension

thought casting about desperatly within swirling chaos
menacing laughter echoing tantalizing close
surrounding and engulfing
feeling of hopelessness begin to close on tattered souls

deep within a flame flickers
the ember of a long forgotten furnace
surging with forgotten stregnth
exploding jet of scorching heat

darkness shrinks back in surprise
furtively glancing about for source of such immense power
untold hunger burning deep within its starved gut
wrenching evermore within its pit of helpliness

flames roar to life, warmth once again fills the soul
disease and death fall away before healing love
blinding might, immeasurable will
never will this bond cease; even within the valleys of death and ruin

bond stemming from before the root of time
breaking through all realities
impossible to severe
withstanding all that is hurled its way

no matter how strong the barriers
for deep within the hostile fortress
a small light burns
