story of my camera...

For those of you who remember a little less than four months ago i bought a digital slr camera online and for the past few months have been happily snapping away - as you can attest to :).
well i have been seeing spots on my photos for quite some time - only showed up in certain lighting conditions but when it did was very stark - and i kept putting it off to sensor dust and finally brought the camera in to have its sensor cleaned.
so the receptionist - or whatever - types in the model number and ask me if i bought the camera online. i respond with a yes, dreading that she's gonna tell me its stolen or something...
turns out the original owner had brought in this camera to have it checked out and they found that the sensor was slightly cracked. he had refused repair (obviously as it costs 780 - might as well buy a new camera for another 300).
now im stuck with it and a bit frustrated - as you might expect - and already sucking in the fact that i have been screwed
but being me i decided it wouldnt hurt to email the seller and complain. so i email the dude (whom im pretty sure is a decent chap - i was emailing him for a while after i had bought the camera with tons of questions) - and he emails back that i can have 'new' (used) camera body or full refund!
::$$:D$$::i have no complaints with the camera and request the 'new' body and just yesterday (friday) it arrived!!!
now its in to be checked and we shall see if all is ok...

just inspiring to know that there still are some decent online salesman. :D

oh that also means no pics for a bit... :( soz major bummer i know...
