Mattis and Lag Ba'omer

aighty so i know i havnt updated in a bit so here goes: short and sweet (with pics :D).

Mattis: picked up the man himself from the airport and drove him down to irvine, placing him within Jb's and my mercy for the 45 min drive. asked him tons of questions and turns out he's pretty chilled and strong in his beliefs.

"I became frum to escape all that. In the life I lived, sex, drugs, all that stuff, none of it was considered bad. I'm not tempted by that stuff, because I saw it all. I dont ever want to go back." shabbos was cool, although he kept more to himself (pretty much once his wife showed up he kinda kept away) but that was understandable do to his perfomance scheduled for the night. but he did come down to the Teen Minyan and to say those kids almost had transcendency of the soul would be an understatment. i mean they literally had to push their eyes back into their sockets!

lag ba'omer: here is the run down real quick. 33rd night came and we went to dockweiler beach in LA. unforturnately we showed up too late and missed the main party. we only arrived after the cops had started kicking ppl off the beaches. But that did not deter these ten determined bochurim from enjoying themselves. first time in over a year that i tried to max out in backward handsprings - and max out i did. EIGHT CONSEcUTIVE! that's not great for me (as i was able to do that 3 years ago). but seeing as i havnt tried since then was really refreshing - oh and i couldnt stand for almost an entire minute afterwards (dizzy for any of you who dont understand ;)).

Day time brought us to irvine. AWSOME! great time with teens. Great time with kids and good food. i mean, what more can you ask for (aside from Moshiach)?
Thought (dont ask):I love irvine bc it tends to be like a big family outing - not that i have been to many other places but those that i have been to havnt had that same feeling (maybe i am biased but SO WHAT?). suffice it so say we had an AWSOME time and volley-soccer ball is a really fun game :D.
