Eternal Torture

You hold your hand before your face

Engulfed within unholy flame

Observing with detached fascination

As blackened ash scatters to the moaning wind

Cool breeze caresses your body

Seducing your mind while its chill seeps into your blood

Transforming your veins to ice

The slightest movement causes them to shatter

Tendrils of air forcefully pry open your mouth

Breaking jaws with bone-crushing force

Tongue darting uselessly in frantic horror

Even the serpent of misdirection can be torn from his throne

Your arm grasps about limply

Desperate for any handhold

Fingers fracture from the strain

Mouth open in silenced agony

Can you feel it now?

Your head being yanked back

Exposing tender throat to wicked blade

Severed head bleeding onto the parched earth

Sightless, your eyes watch helplessly

As your twitching torso drops into a rippling pool

And creatures from most terrible nightmare converge

Sinking their glistening teeth into the wealth of your body

Mesmerized. Tears stream from empty sockets.

A horrible voice reverberates within your hollow skull

Laughing over and over

You are mine.

Forevermore.
